The young designer’s new collection is eclectic and chic. It consists of articles of clothing made of snow-white, creamy, deep red, navy blue and jet black brocade and velvet, the fabrics in noble shades and with intricate patterns.
The one-of-a-kind collection, designed in an elegant and classical style, boasts glamorous eclectics blended with national motifs and bright ideas of the designer. Every waistcoat has details embellished with pearls, rhinestones, seed beads, and stones, featuring stylized national ornaments. Besides, all is executed with such exquisite taste that does not seem excessive at all.
Shalar Rakhimov dreamed of designing stylish clothes since childhood. Studying fashion design at International Turkmen-Turkish University (now the Oguzkhan University of Engineering Technologies), the Textile Department, was an important step en route to achieving his dream.
In order to have a better understanding of the fashion industry and to soak up the creative atmosphere, Shalar started to work as a model at the Ashgabat Fashion House. Then, the emerging, ambitious designer got fascinated with an idea of designing stylish suits for men.
Shalar has realized his dream. He creates elegant suits for special occasions. If it is a suit for a groom, Shalar additionally designs a bridal veil for a bride to make the couple’s clothes match perfectly.
- A gala concert featuring famous foreign singers provided a grand finale to the First Caspian Economic Forum that took place in Avaza last year. Five suits designed by me were given to the guest stars as gifts. I vividly remember the Russian singer Sergey Lazarev’s positive emotions when he donned a velvet suit coat with a distinctive ornamental motif. Recognition provides a great stimulus for achieving new professional heights. I hope I will reach them, Shalar says.
- The stage is a unique space imbued with creative ideas and I find it incredibly interesting to make one-of-a-kind suits for artists. It is a difficult and truly absorbing process of reflecting a performer’s individual style and creating a suit that will be an organic whole with his stage image. That is why I invited singers to display the new Goç Ýigit-brand collection and thanks to this the runway show turned into a spectacular musical event.
