The ceremony of opening a motorway bridge across the Tedjen River took place at the checkpoint "Serahs-Serahs", located on the border of Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to its engineering, technical and operational parameters, the new bridge, 96 meters in length and 15.1 meters at width, complies with international standards. It was built taking into account the weight, load capacity, traveling speed of vehicles. Extra strong structures, ensuring earthquake resistance and other technical characteristics were used in the construction.

The favorable geographical location of Turkmenistan determines its status as an important transit and transport hub of Eurasia. Implementing the impressive potential available in this area, our state successfully implements national programs to ensure comprehensive modernization of the material and technical base of all types of transport.

The constructive initiatives of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, widely supported by the international community, are aimed at intensifying interaction in the transport sector, which plays an important role in the development of interstate trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations. This is vividly proved by the relevant Resolutions adopted by the UN General Assembly.
