The priority aspects of cooperation within the framework of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program (CAREC), initiated by the Asian Development Bank, were discussed during an online meeting of the CAREC National Coordinators. The Turkmen side was represented by the heads of the Ministry of Finance and Economics.
The meeting participants were familiarized with the CAREC projects in the spheres of economy, trade, energy, tourism, economic corridors, as well as the COVID-19 response measures taken by the ADB in the field of healthcare.
The main objectives of the meeting were the review of the current situation and discussion of the economic impact of the pandemic in the CAREC member countries, as well as the evaluation of the activities and results of the Program, and identification and agreement on the necessary changes.
