Dashoguz Regional Historical Museum hasted session of personnel of museums and state historical and cultural reserves of the country.

This largest in the region museum has been built in 2011. It has archaeological and ethnographic exposition, gallery of visual art, halls dedicated to natural attractions as well as to modern achievements of the region. There are more than 8,000 exhibits in the funds of the museum.

Participants of the session discussed improvement of activity, introduction of digital technologies including capability of virtual modelling of monuments located along the Silk Road. Ancient fortresses, caravansaries remained in Turkmen land raise interest of world scientists.

Participants of the session have also highlighted the subjects of wide implementation of modern technologies directly to work of museums and storages, creation of electronic base of museum values, study of historical landscapes of ancient cities using digital technologies.

Personnel of this sphere have gone on search expeditions to all regions. Artefacts reflecting living conditions of local population in old times, including samples of craft production, household items, which have historical values, have been found in the result of expeditions.

Ancient felt mats and weaving tools, wooden dish, fragments of ancient bricks with glazing, butter churn, jars for water and grain have been handed over to the museum of Dashoguz Region.

Ornamented terracotta tiles and small fragments of wall panels with majolica cover discovered in the territory of Kunyaurgench are among the exhibits.
