The line from one of the poems by Magtymguly ‘My Heart’s in the Mountains’ inspired Natalia Kalugina to create her poetically scenic landscape painting. …The tender beauty of field poppies, the sparkling emerald green grass, and the pink blossoms call up associations with Pyragy’s elevated and figurative language.

Natalia Kalugina’s another wonderful landscape invites visitors to make a pilgrimage to the mausoleum of the legendary healer Magtym. The landmark in the much-cherished corner of Balkan velayat is depicted against the backdrop of the Kopetdag foothills’ scenic splendor.

Gunesh Rozykulova’s ‘The Natural Spring’ is one more depiction of the land that invigorated Magtymguly’s spirits and inspired his poetic talent. Gunesh used the impasto technique. The bold textured brushstrokes give the painting a dynamic effect and aerial perspective.

Imbued with vivid springtime hues, Aygozel Chakanova’s ‘After the Rain’ creates a sense of freshness and harmony.

The exhibition presents two new works by Kossek Nurmuradov. Both of them are suffused with an Oriental flavor, richly detailed scenes and vibrant colors. The painting ‘Tamdyr’ (an outdoor clay oven used for baking bread) demonstrates the Turkmen people’s openness and warm hospitality. ‘The White Yurt’ features a colorful array of public celebrations.

People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Annadurdy Almamedov’s painting ‘The Field of Flowers’ is seen as a poetic epilogue to the exhibition showcasing the unique natural and spiritual monuments of our native country. It impresses with its meaningful context and scale, and evokes associations with the unique national culture.
