The parties expressed the interest of the two countries in developing constructive cooperation across its entire spectrum. In particular, the importance of the dialogue in the political and diplomatic sphere and the similarity of attitudes towards the key issues on the international agenda was underlined.
Discussing the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, it was underlined the importance of the initiative put forward by the President of Turkmenistan with the aim to attract scientific diplomacy tools to counteract COVID-19, including the creation of the international Council of medical scientists. The possibilities of cooperation in this direction are considered.
Promotion of partnership in trade, economic and humanitarian spheres were specified among the priority areas of the Turkmen-Canadian cooperation.
