On October 7, a telephone conversation took place between Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the agenda of interstate cooperation and exchanged views on the preparation for the VI Caspian Summit, scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan.
