The meeting participants expressed satisfaction with the level of development of the Turkmen-Japanese partnership and the constructive nature of the political dialogue. In this context, the significance of the visits of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Japan, which gave impetus to the intensification of cooperation across the entire spectrum of directions, was emphasized.
The parties expressed mutual interest in continuing mutual support on the platform of authoritative regional and international organizations, primarily the UN. In this aspect, the closeness of the positions of Turkmenistan and Japan on a number of topical issues on the global agenda was confirmed.
During the conversation, the meeting participants discussed the aspects of developing cooperation in various fields, as well as inter-parliamentary dialogue. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan thanked the Ambassador of Japan for his contribution to strengthening interstate cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Takahiko Katsumata expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan for assistance in the implementation of his diplomatic mission.
