The large-scale forum showcasing the achievements and opportunities of the private sector of Turkmen economy at the Sergi Kosgi Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat closed. The exhibition that marks the 7th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan presented the expertise, progress and potential of Turkmen entrepreneurs.
Thousands of citizens of Ashgabat and guests to the Turkmen capital visited the two-day exposition, where they had an opportunity to get acquainted with the work and products of private enterprises, economic societies and businessmen from different regions of the country and the Turkmen capital.
The versatile exposition covered the key areas of development of the private sector of Turkmen economy showcasing its achievements, export potential and prospects growth in such industries as construction and construction materials, processing of agricultural products and foodstuff production and fisheries.
A conference focusing on the current issues in entrepreneurship was held in the conference hall of the office building of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The conference brought together over 600 representatives of the private business of Turkmenistan. Foreign guests – businessmen from Turkey, Azerbaijan and Belarus were invited to participate in the conference.
Heads of structural subdivisions of the Union, some companies and firms reported on their achievements and plans for the future.
The main agenda topics included the possibilities to apply advanced technology and know-how at private enterprises, enhance the competitiveness of their goods and services and increase the attractiveness of domestic products for consumers. Conference participants conducted a comprehensive analysis of a wide range of issues related to entrepreneurship development in Turkmenistan.
Special awards were presented to the best enterprises within the framework of the conference.
Certificates and diplomas were awarded to the forum participants during the solemn ceremony of closing the exhibition.
