The ceremony of opening the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic took place in T. Satylganov National Philharmonic in Bishkek.
A delegation of Turkmenistan, including popular singers, musicians and artistic groups from the Turkmen capital and regions of the country arrived in the friendly country to hold the cultural event.
The opening ceremony brought together high-ranking officials of the Kyrgyz Republic, local citizens, workers of culture and art and our compatriots living in this country.
Addressing those present, Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan A. Maksutov noted that the roots of the traditionally friendly relations between the people of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan traced back to the centuries and today our states demonstrated the willingness to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.
A video clip “Welcome to Turkmenistan” was demonstrated to the audience before the concert. A song “Visit Turkmenistan” performed by popular Turkmen artists added high notes to the festival of friendship. Young singers and baghshis from different regions of our country performed songs and music filled with the love for the native land and its beauty. The Nyazli dance group presented a choreographic composition “The melody of the world”. The performance of the Lachin group of artists was remarkable for the bright national colours.
The festive concert finished with the song “Neutral Turkmenistan” performed to the applause of the audience.
The exposition of the Turkmen national decorative and applied arts showcasing the exhibits of the State Museum of the State Cultural Centre and the State Museum of Applied Arts of Turkmenistan was arranged in the institutions of culture in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The best films created by Turkmen cinematographers were demonstrated in the Cinema House in Bishkek. Turkmen artists will also visit the city of Tokmok, where they will perform a concert.
