A delegation led by Jaromír Jermář, Chair of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Human Rights and Petitions of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, who was on a visit to the Turkmen capital, was received at the Mejlis and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
A lively exchange of views on further expansion of long-term effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Czech Republic which was successfully developed in the bilateral format and within the Turkmenistan-European Union dialogue took place during the meeting at the Parliament.
In this context the members of the delegation of the friendly country were briefed on the major aspects of the policy of the Turkmen state and the aims and objectives of the ongoing large-scale reforms and development programmes initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. A focus of the discussion was the issues regarding partnerships in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, especially in the spheres of education and science. Emphasis was put on promotion of close contacts within inter-parliamentary collaboration.
Underlining the willingness to foster full cooperation with Turkmenistan that had acquired the international reputation of being a very promising and dependable partner, the representative of the Czech Parliament expressed in the interest of his country in intensifying the fruitful bilateral dialogue.
The vectors of effective cooperation were also discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During a meeting the guests emphasized that Czechia highly evaluated and welcomed the constructive peace-building foreign policy of the Turkmen state that paid close attention to promoting cooperation with European partners.
During the visit to Ashgabat the guests were received at the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and the Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan.
The parliamentarians of the friendly country visited museums, historical and archeological monuments and landmarks of Ashgabat and its vicinities.
