In the Russian capital, on the square of XXVIII Moscow International Exhibition-fair, it was held the ceremony of announcement of results of the Twelfth International Contest of the CIS countries-participants “Art of book”, in the course of which in nomination “My country”, the best work was the book of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan”.
The first place in nomination “Commonwealth” was awarded to the book “The leader recognized in the world” devoted to the activity of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the post of the head of state.
In solemn atmosphere, the members of authoritative international jury have handed honorable diplomas to winners and prize-winners in eleven nominations of the contest, where the book production of Turkmenistan has been presented for the first time in five nominations at once, and each of the presented works got the award.
So, in nomination “Grand prix”, the academic publication of verses of the classic of Turkmen literature Magtymguly Fragi published in twenty one languages of the world was called among the best.
The prize-winning diplomas were provided for the book “The Ode to prosperous epoch” in nomination “It is printed in Commonwealth” as well as illustrated scientific work of Victor Sarianidi and Nadezhda Dubova “Treasures of ancient Margiana”.
Having handed five highest prizes at once of an authoritative international forum, the jury members unanimously noticed that the Turkmen book production published, as a rule, in several languages at once, helps a wide readership all over the world to learn and understand better the history and rich cultural traditions of the country as well as worthily estimate the present intensive development of Turkmenistan.
Colleagues from CIS countries-participants have congratulated on doubtless success of Turkmen publishers. Most of them are going to take part in the jubilee, tenth International Fair and Scientific Conference of printed products “ Book – the way of cooperation and progress” to be held in Ashgabat in the third decade of September.
