Permanent spectators of the State Russian Drama Theatre named after A. S. Pushkin have come to love at once this young actor: expressive appearance and bright charisma of Kerim Atayev attaches special charm to his play on a stage, and makes each image embodied by him catchy. And if there is a possibility to include in performance a dance, then dancer Kerim Atayev simply wins the audience with his plastique, and performance. Our correspondent has met the winner of competition “Turkmenistanyn Altyn Asyry” Kerim Atayev to congratulate him on a victory in a creative field and ask to tell about himself for our readers.

- Please tell, Kerim, how is it occurred in your case: the profession has chosen you or you have chosen this profession?

- Probably, the first and the other simultaneously, because, how much I remember myself, I always wanted to become the actor. But, I did not wait passively when there will be a miracle and my dream will be realized. In the fourth form - I studied at Ashgabat school № 45 - we together with the classmate, acting at school concerts, tried to imitate well-known Turkmen humorists. Comedians Tikki and Potdysh from Mary were especially favorite. The delight, with which the children welcomed our numbers, inspired us. And, in the 6th form, I have learnt about intake of dancers in folklore ensemble of Jamal Saparova. I have passed the selection round, without effort, as I think that choreographic abilities has inherited from the father. I have much derived for myself during trainings, and, probably, would become the professional dancer if in two years the group for mob scene was not required at the Main Drama Theatre. And, having left dances, I became one of its members.

Then I have entered in school-studio of Pushkin theatre to the fine teacher Natalia Laukert. My dream to become the actor has come true, after the completion of school-studio I was taken to theatre staff. That feeling of pleasure which I have experienced then, stuck in my memory forever. Undoubtedly, the destiny was kind to me in purpose achievement, and I am infinitely grateful for it.

I have flung myself into my favorite business: played more than 20 roles - the nephew of the shah in “Yusup and Zuleyha” performance, gardener Hasan in “Zohre and Tahir”, Akop in “Hanum", Hlestakov in "The Inspector General", hawker Aman in “We will meet again”, father Karlo in “Adventures of Buratino” and others. Thanks to the Head Ashirmuhammet Rahmanov, each actor is given the chance to play the leading role at Pushkin theatre. But for me it doesn’t matter whether it is main or a bit part, comedy or drama performance, a fairy tale for children or philosophical reasoning for adults. I liked to step on the stage in any role, the main thing was to play it in the best possible way.

- There were advanced training courses in Moscow. What advantage have they brought to your actor skills?

- A surprising thing! Before dialogue with the Moscow Union of theatrical figures (UTF), it seemed to me that Natalia Andreyevna Laukert has given us – art students everything that is necessary and even more for an actor's trade. But, having appeared in other atmosphere, I have got acquainted with other approaches to express actor skills, and have understood that the good teacher is like a wise book, and the more real teachers I will meet on my creative way, the more high will be my output.

UTF students had a choice to participate in drama, comedy, puppet and plastic plays and performance (short interactive representation, for example, in city street). I have chosen plastic performance “Possibility number 8” and when I have showed myself in dancing, the choreographer told that dances should become my main business. But, after all, I have not yet played much enough at theatre! Probably, then I will be engaged entirely in dances, for now it is only a hobby for me.

- Kerim, you make an impression of absolutely happy person. Is it actually so, or it only seems like?

- Actually so. Especially within the last three years. Judge for yourself: in 2013, I married, in 2014 I became the father and received a rank on theatre of the best actor of year, and in 2015 - the winner of creative competition “Turkmenistanyn Altyn Asyry”. I am very grateful to our esteemed President for an appreciation of my creativity as well as for wide opportunities created in our country for the youth to realize cherished dreams. My example is bright confirmation of that.
