The ceremony of opening the Mosfilm Days took place in Ashgabat. Organization of the days of this film studio in our country has become a wonderful tradition.

Turkmen people love and value Russian cinematography. They look forward for new movies and with great pleasure, again and again, watch the favorite movies created by the legendary film studio. Among them are "The Cranes Are Flying" by Mikhail Kalatozov, "The Pokrovsky Gates" by Mikhail Kazakov and, of course, Oscar-winning film "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears". The meeting with film director Vladimir Menshov and actress Vera Alentova, who starred in the film, at the opening ceremony of the Mosfilm Days in the Ashgabat Cinema became a wonderful present for Ashgabat spectators.

In the history of the Turkmen cinematography, with all its national specific features, there are many pages connected with famous Russian film directors, cameramen, actors and other specialists of the cinema industry. Their names are not only in the titles of the old Turkmen films, they are preserved in the memory of the national cinematography as the priceless experience of creative cooperation and the unique school of the cinema art.

Of course, the Mosfilm Days in Turkmenistan will vividly testify to the spiritual understanding and attraction between our peoples. The cultural event is held in the Ashgabat cinema and Turkmenistan Cinema and Concert Centre in the Turkmen capital. The repertoire includes 16 films created in 1952 - 2015.
