Representatives of Turkmenistan and international organizations discussed aspects of cooperation in the transport sector, during a videoconference meeting.

The meeting was attended by heads and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, the Ministry of Finance, as well as state agencies of Turkmenistan working in the field of transport. The meeting was also attended by representatives of relevant UN agencies, including UNDP, UNECE, ESCAP, and a number of international financial institutions.

Videoconference meeting participants exchanged views on aspects of strengthening transport cooperation, including simplification and harmonization of border crossing procedures.

A number of recommendations were considered based on the results of expert meetings that took place on February 19 and 22 this year and were devoted to the implementation of test, safe from a sanitary and epidemiological point of view, transport and transit caravans, as well as the digitalization of the country's transport sector.
