The diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan abroad organized thematic events on the occasion of the holiday of Novruz. This holiday is included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan took part in a festive event held in the building of the International Fund for Turkic Culture and Heritage in Baku.
The celebrations in honor of the Novruz holiday and the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, celebrated this year, were organized by the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Herat (Afghanistan).
The Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN Office at Geneva, together with the missions of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, India, China, Pakistan, Peru, Russia, Turkey, as well as Central Asian countries, organized an online thematic meeting, during which video clips about traditions and rituals of celebrating Novruz in different countries were demonstrated.
In Bucharest, the Embassies of Turkmenistan and Iran, with the support of the Romanian side, organized a festive exhibition available for visiting in a virtual format.
Representatives of the Turkmen diaspora in Tatarstan (the Russian Federation), with the organizational support of the Consulate General of our country in Kazan, took part in the folklore festival dedicated to Novruz.
The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Austria organized a round table dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and the Novruz holiday, symbolizing the ideals of friendship, brotherhood and humanism. The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps and the media.
The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus organized a festive concert with participation of Turkmen youth studying at Belarusian universities.
