Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan (the Russian Federation) Atadurdy Bayramov arrived to the Ulyanovsk region with a working visit to meet with Governor Sergei Morozov, as well as Rector of the Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University named after I.N. Ulyanov Igor Petrishchev.

The aspects of enhancing cooperation with this region of the Russian Federation were considered during the meeting with the governor . In particular, the parties underlined the significant role of the subjects of the Volga-Kama basin in the implementation of joint economic, trade and logistics projects in the Caspian Sea. Mutual interest was expressed in organizing specialized exhibitions, as well as online meetings between the business circles of the two states.

During the visit the Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University, the prospects of dialogue in the scientific and educational sphere between the universities of Turkmenistan and the Ulyanovsk region of the Russian Federation, as well as the issues of signing joint documents on cooperation in the field of personnel training were discussed.

The parties also considered the possibility of creating Turkmen sports teams and folklore groups on the basis of the universities of Ulyanovsk. Moreover, it was suggested to increase the number of state-funded places in the universities of the Ulyanovsk region for the citizens of our country. 

As part of his visit to the university, Consul General Atadurdy Bayramov held a meeting with representatives of Turkmen youth studying in this region of the Russian Federation.
