Jigits of the well-known groups of national equestrian games “Galkynysh” and “Turkmen jigits”, who returned Motherland from China, where they won Grand prix of II International Circus Festival, were welcomed today with crowded processions, festive solemnities, song and musical performances.
It is a regular triumph of Turkmen horse-riders recognized as the best among 32 circus troupes from 22 countries and awarded with the main prize of festival - the Gold Cup. Group “Galkynysh” performed in Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Turkey and other countries, where it has made a real furor, gained the victories in prestigious international competitions and circus art festivals.
On the area before circus, “Turkmen jigits” group of the State Circus of Turkmenistan and “Galkynysh” of Akhalteke Horse Complex of the President of Turkmenistan of “Turkmen atlary” State Association received the award at a rate of 50 thousand US dollars on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov for the regular victory at the International Festival of Circus Art.
