On March 31, the British Embassy in Turkmenistan, together with the world famous British company PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), organized a video conference dedicated to a joint project to tackle climate change in Turkmenistan.

As part of the event, PwC experts presented the results of the project funded by the British Embassy in Turkmenistan to develop a high-level analysis of international and regional best practices in climate change mitigation and adaptation, and accelerate the transition to low-carbon technologies on the eve of the COP26 conference and in the subsequent period.

The online meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Energy, the "Turkmenneft" and "Turkmengaz"State Concerns, the Academy of Sciences, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, as well as a national expert on the implementation of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

The international expert community was represented by specialists of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Scientific Information Center of the Interstate Commission on Sustainable Development (ICSD) IFAS, the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
