The opening ceremony of the Congress Center of Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat with participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Congress Center, was built along the Chandybil Avenue by the famous French company Bouygues – an old business partner of our country.
Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of National Parliament, military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and profile departments, capital administration, public organizations, mass media, higher education institutes have gathered in the place on occasion of remarkable event. Heads of diplomatic missions accredited in our country and representative offices of the UN and its structures, other competent international organizations, personnel of foreign mass media were among the participants of the event. Everyone have greeted the head of the state with big enthusiasm.
Music and song composition, which symbolize the friendship between the peoples of the planet and creative peace-loving policy steadily pursued by independent and neutral Turkmenistan, is expanded on the square in front of the Congress Center.
The moment comes and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has cut a symbolical ribbon under applauses of the participants – the Congress Center is opened.
The head of the start has entered the building and looked around new facility.
The Congress Center occupies 47,464 square meters. The height of this big building is 38.65 meters and the length is 190 meters. 9.37 hectares have been allocated for the construction of the center. The area of green zone around the building is 46,023 square meters.
The Congress Center has all conditions including the provision of advanced computer and other technical equipment, digital and internet technologies for organization of forums, meetings and talks of regional and international level as well as for press conferences, etc.
The building has Summit Hall for 500 seats, which also has all capabilities for the session at LED desk for 80 seats. In addition, the Center has Multimedia Hall for 403 seats and halls designated for mass media, signing of documents, rest and waiting.
Picturesque works of modern national artists, mosaic national ornaments, beautiful carpets with traditional patterns weaved by skillful hands of Turkmen carpet makers, are used in the decoration of the interior. All of this, including color gamma, gives special hint to the premises. The façade is decorated with white-marble columns and gilt stained-glass windows. The surrounding territory is fully developed and planted with trees and shrubs.
