Today, in capital of Malaysia - in the Center of solemnities of Kuala Lumpur, it was held the opening of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan. Representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia, Embassy of Turkmenistan in Malaysia, diplomatic missions of the foreign countries accredited to Malaysia and other officials as well as creative intelligentsia and workers of mass media of this country took part in the ceremony.

After official performances, it was held the concert of the Turkmen artists, which program was made on the basis of national musical heritage, national opera classics and variety productions. Evening was opened with composition performed by dance group accompanied with demonstration of a video film about Turkmenistan.

Performance of our baghshi, which amazed the listeners with deep originality of folk music, unique sounding of dutar, virtuosity and original vocal technics, produced special impression on public. Ancient ceremonial dance “Kusht depdi” as well as brilliant performance of violinists’ ensemble “Mukam” excited the delight of visitors.

In foyer of the Center of solemnities, it was organized the exhibition of decorative and applied arts and museum values of Turkmenistan, which gave to Malaysian friends unique possibility to familiarize closely with rich original culture of the Turkmen people. A picturesque exposition included the carpet and jewelry articles, national suits embroidered by skilful hand-made embroidery, etc.

Today, it was also held the meeting of representatives of Turkmenistan’s delegation at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia in which course key aspects of Turkmen-Malaysian interaction in the field of culture have been discussed.
