Turkmen students win 31 gold medals at the international academic competition

31 winners and 95 prize-winners - the result of participation of representatives of Turkmenistan in two rounds of the Open International Student Internet Olympiad, organized by Volga State University of Technology (Yoshkar-Ola, Republic of Mari El, Russian Federation).

More than 3,000 from 205 universities in Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Slovenia participated in the Olympiad.

The student intellectual contest was held in the following disciplines: physics, chemistry, informatics, strength of materials, statistics, theoretical mechanics, economics, ecology. Competitions at math are organized in three rounds, the final one is scheduled for May 12-13.

Students of the International University of Oil and Gas won nine gold medals and students of the Power Engineering Institute (Mary) won two gold medals in IT contest.

The team of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute (Dashoguz) and a student of the Turkmen Agricultural University demonstrated excellent knowledge in theoretical mechanics and theory of strength of materials - six gold and one gold medal respectively.

The State Power Engineering Institute (Mary) won three gold medals in economics.

Four students of M. Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan and a student of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute demonstrated excellent results in the nomination “Ecology”.

Students of the State Power Engineering Institute of Turkmenistan won five gold medals and a student of the International University of Oil and Gas won one gold medal in chemistry. A gold medal in physics was awarded to a representative of Magtymguly Turkmen State University.

Students of the above-named universities of the country, as well as S. Seidi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, the International University of Humanities and Development and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering won 40 silver and 55 bronze medals.
