On June 1, the doors of the gallery of the State Art Academy of Turkmenistan were opened for International children drawing contest “Happy Childhood”. It has become one of the brightest events on International Children Day. Children from 15 n neighboring and other countries have sent 1,735 pictures, which filled the whole space of the gallery and put the visitors into atmosphere of kindness, warmth, careless and happy childhood. Turkmen children are authors of 372 works from total amount of exhibited pictures.
For many years, pictures of talented Turkmen children participated in International contests in various countries introducing the culture, traditions and mentality of Turkmen people to other participants. Awards, certificates and diplomas, which were sent to the winners, are carefully kept in many art schools of our country.
Opportunity not only to send the best works for the contest to other countries but also to receive pictures from foreign country for the contest in our Motherland was given to young artists at the initiative of the head of our state. The participants of the contest were able to see the pictures that were sent for the contest as well as to meet the authors of these works in online mode. Children from Iran, India, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries were talking from the big screen. Turkmen contesters participated in the dialog about art of young painters from our side.
Children from Russia and Uzbekistan have demonstrated good works by the results summed up by the jury. Hosts of the art contest have also demonstrated their talents. The children of Byashim Nurali Children Art School have distinguished themselves in the contest.
Students of this school Gulkamar Halliyeva, Victoria Kasymova, Jennet Mammedova and Ogulnur Rejepova have mentioned in the interview given to the Golden Age that International contest has expanded their imagination of cultural traditions of foreign nations and painting skills of young artists, motivated them to make friends and create together making our world better with bright colors of happiness.
