The Days of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran, being annually held with great success in Turkmenistan, have come to the end. Having caused sincere interest and attention, the present action was succeeded by big holiday of friendship and good neighborhood, and highlighted new possibilities for development of traditions of mutual enrichment of culture and art of both people formed during centuries.
The program of Days of Culture included various creative events. So, large art exposition developed in Exhibition Hall of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, was presented with unique works of modern masters of fine and decorative-applied arts of the Northern Khorasan province, cities of Teheran and Tabriz. Their genre and art originality was illustrated by the scripts skilfully cut on a stone and wood by calligraphic handwriting, the inlaid caskets, and enamel ceramic and silver dish, subjects from gracefully decorated glass, works of painting and fine miniatures, jewelry articles and mosaic, samples of homespun products and national embroidery. Pictures filigree executed of wheaten straws and wood slices as well as bright canvases of scripts with a watercolor on silk fabric - batik attracted special attention.
Modern Iran with its ancient monuments was also demonstrated by photo-exposition. Its whole section has been devoted to the tourist routes, running through the most beautiful places of different provinces.
The separate stand of an exposition presented the selection of products of the historical, art criticism and classical literature belonging to feather of outstanding poets, scientists and thinkers, who are spiritual property of many people of Asia as well as rare editions of printing production. Good tradition of exhibition is the demonstrative master classes during which the Iranian masters shared their experience with creative youth.
Demonstration of dishes of Turkmen and Iranian cuisine and sweets, which could be tasted and estimated here, became remarkable feature of the present opening day, which especially brightly highlighted primordially good-neighborhood of two friendly people.
The musical-song culture, which sources go back to ancient Iranian tunes and melodies, have been presented by folklore ensembles of Tabriz. Performances of the artists, who have sung under sounds of national instrument the lyrical songs, have caused the deserved applauses of audience in cinema and concert hall “Turkmenistan”.
At the Puppet Show of the Turkmen capital, it was held the joint concert of children's groups of two countries. Their organization within the framework of Days of Culture is the vivid evidence of that attention, which is paid by leaders of Turkmenistan and Iran to issues of education of young generation.
Notable events of cultural action were also screenings of Iranian films at the "Watan" cinema center, which got acquainted cinematography lovers with best works of the directors of new wave. The audience was also presented the films that have been dubbed into Turkmen language by our translators and artists. It is noteworthy that the practice of partnership in the promotion of national cinema becomes an important factor in the development of artistic exchanges between filmmakers of the two states.
During the forum, members of the Iranian delegation held a meeting with Turkmen colleagues at the Ministry of Culture, where the prospects of cooperation in the humanitarian sphere were discussed.
At the "Turkmenistan" cinema center there was held a solemn ceremony of closing of Culture Days of Iran, which was attended by representatives of the creative intelligentsia and public organizations of our country, diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, media, as well as numerous art lovers.
The participants expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani for the current multifaceted policy of humanitarian cooperation, contributing to the development of national cultures and fruitful cooperation in this field.
