First private modern cold warehouse is under construction in Ruhubelent district, Dashoguz Region in the north of the country for storage of agricultural production. The warehouse is designated for simultaneous storage of 350 tons of vegetables and fruits. Specialized facilities is built by member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan from Dashoguz Region Sarybay Hanbayev. New facility is located on the territory of Wasabad administration and occupies 1.6 hectares. Nowadays, the construction of the main building of the warehouse, which is planned to be provided with modern equipment from European manufacturers, is under completion. Advanced equipment will allow making and keeping optimal conditions in various chambers in automatic mode for preservation of production in fresh condition preventing its spoiling.
Entrepreneurs Sarybay Hanbayev is one of the largest agrarian producers in the region. His gardens, which are located in Ruhubelent district, occupy 35 hectares. In addition to fruits and vegetables, he also cultivates onion, cucurbitaceous and other crops on 100 hectares given by the state.
New facility will allow the businessmen to solve the problem of preservation of produced harvest as well as to store various agricultural production of many other producers located nearby.
Owing to the state investments, Dashoguz Region has developed infrastructure for storage of the main types of agricultural crops produced in the region such as cotton, wheat, rice. Steadfast development of the network of various agricultural facilities in the region, which provide the population of cities and villages with fresh fruits and vegetables, gradual increment of volume of produced crops have provided the construction of modern cold warehouse designated for storage of 3,000 tons of fruits, vegetables and potato, which is successfully working these days.
As it is seen today, private sector has actively joined the process of increment of capacities for storage and processing of production. Thus, warehouses for storage of agricultural production with various technical provision and capacity are planned to be built in other parts of the northern region in the next few years.
