The programme of thematically diverse day of the Week of Culture included the events taken place in different parts of the eastern region of the country, but united by a common idea - to reflect the continuity of the best traditions and humanistic ideals.

In the morning, the delegates of the creative forum were warmly greeted in the Lamma Gengeshlik of the Halach Etrap - the native village of poet Seyitnazar Seydi, where they met with Turkmen poets and took part in the poetic holiday "Belent waspyň dilde dessan, Arkadagly Türkmenistan!"

According to the tradition, newly married couples come there to honour the memory of the poet and lay flowers to the monument. On the land, covered with the heroic glory of their ancestors, at the foot of the monument, next to the surviving walls of the fortress, people of all ages read lines from their favorite works, created by lyric poet and warrior Seyitnazar Seydi.

Cultural figures, poets and prose writers, journalists, connoisseurs and admirers of the poetic word, local citizens gathered at the monument.

The holiday continued with a literary and musical composition prepared by the artists of Seyitnazar Seydi Lebap Velayat State Music and Drama Theater, who appeared in the images of the outstanding Turkmen classics - Magtymguly, Seydi, Kemine, Magrup, Zelili, Mollanepes, Myataji.

The second day of the Week of Culture continued with the premiere of the opera "Gul - Bilbil" on the stage of Seyitnazar Seydi Lebap Velayat State Music and Drama Theater.

The new performance is remarkable for its successful scenographic findings. For the first time in the national opera production, video clips organically complement traditional theatrical drama.

In the evening, soloists and artistic groups of the Balkan and Dashoguz velayats demonstrated their skills on the open stage area of the Bitaraplyk Park. The concert programme included folk and modern melodies and songs, as well as stirring dances.
