The Turkmen State Institute of Culture held the exhibition of photo contest dedicated to the International day of Nowruz

The contest under the motto "Chant the Motherland in creativity" was announced among first-year students enrolled in the specialty of TV-Cinematographer, and was aimed at development of creative abilities of students, and enhancement of acquired knowledge and skills.

Contestants were offered several themes for their choices to be displayed based on their individual photo project. On display the work of the contestants which were located in the vast lobby of the Institute of Culture, which in ceremonial atmosphere held the final assessment of the competitive event.


The works done in various genres such as: portrait photo, landscape, reporting photography, stage production, and etc. Overall, about 500 photos forming individual cycle, such as: the nature, the flora and fauna of Turkmenistan, a large-scale construction, the beauty of the white-marble capital, a growing industrial power of the country and a happy childhood.

The sport theme displayed in light of the preparation for the Asian Games 2017, including cultural heritage with colorful ceremonies of national festivities and traditions of national arts and crafts. The theme on the development of international relations of independent neutral state was also displayed in one of the stands highlighting rich events of country’s cultural life.

It was presented the process of filming- a world of cinematography and photo arts, which is often hidden from the viewers. The initiation of young authors into their future profession allows them not only to gain new skills on up-to-date technologies but also to apply practical skills in advanced and professional equipments.


Then, discussions and exchange of opinions were quieted down, and in ceremonial atmosphere the names of winners were announced.

The first place was awarded to Suleyman Charyev (he was the most productive by developing two themes, as well as the most creative with regards to representation and composition design of the stands).

The second place won Annageldy Dzhumageldyev, and the third place won Nurmuhammet Ashirmametov.

To the applause of winners, it was awarded honorable letters, greetings and was expressed warm wishes to all contestants from heads and teachers of the Institute.
