A chamber concert under the intriguing title “The Soul Sings” took place in the Cultural Center of the Ashgabat Park. Five soloists of the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan - Selbi Ovezova (flute), Yusup Ovezov (clarinet), Aibolek Mukhieva (violin), Elman Nasyrov (viola), Yusupgeldy Gandymov (cello) - performed in front of Ashgabat lovers of classical music with a new selection of beautiful pieces.

The concert program was opened by the performance of the multi-part Concerto by Domenico Cimarosa, which immediately plunged the hall into an atmosphere of exquisite euphony. Cimarosa's music was replaced by “Melody” from the opera “Orpheus and Eurydice” by Christaf Willibald Gluck, which in terms of playfulness and euphony competed with the previous work.

The theme of dance melodies, captivating with their seething energy, continued the program with the performance of perky “Romanian folk dances” by Bel Bartok, romantic “Slavic Dance No. 2” by Antonin Dvořák, passionate tango “Please” by Astor Piazzolla and others. In each of the works performed, one could feel the bright, figurative, life-affirming motives characteristic of a certain mentality of the composer.

The audience appreciated the high class of the musicians' performing skills with amicable long applause. For an encore outside the program, the musicians performed “Flight of the Bumblebee” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, in which the lively movement of a restless insect was felt.

“We are very pleased to give pleasure to our compatriots from listening to beautiful classical pieces of music,” says one of the members of the musical group Selbi Ovezova. - The composition of our group changes depending on the sound of the pieces we have chosen. Only one thing does not change - the desire to meet the audience of listeners and please it with the performance of interesting melodies.
