International Cultural Forum to be held in Uzbekistan

The International Cultural Forum "Central Asia at the Crossroads of World Civilizations" is planned to be held on September 14-15 in Uzbekistan jointly with UNESCO. It is expected that the meeting will be attended by representatives of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Iran, Russian Federation, China and Belarus.

The event will take place in Khiva, one of the oldest cities on the Great Silk Road. It will bring together representatives of academic institutions, experts and scholars engaged in research in Central Asia, as well as specialists in the social and human sciences, including philosophy, linguistics, history, art, anthropology and sociology.

The main purpose of the forum is to consecrate and explore the rich history and heritage of the region. In addition, the topics of the forum will be devoted to the study of the threats and challenges posed by climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic.
