In the Main Drama Theater, as a gift to the audience of preschool age, the work on the play "Alabai" is being completed. The author of the play is the children's writer and playwright Hemra Shirov, the stage director is Ilyas Durdyev.

A summary of the performance. A puppy named Alabai comes from the aul to the pasture in order to learn the prestigious dog profession - to guard the flock of sheep. But there are already two dogs in the pasture, one of which has adopted the puppy with dislike, fearing that now he will be the shepherd's pet, and not she. Another dog immediately began to teach Alabai what was required of him on the pasture.

Alabai turned out to be a very smart, but too direct puppy, and constantly got into trouble. However, we must give him his due - he always came out of a difficult situation as a winner. And through trial and error, he comprehended the professional subtleties of his pasture habitation.

“We chose this tale,” Ilyas Durdyev shares in an interview, “because during its showing, the children will have to worry and worry about the unpredictable protagonist. And at the same time, they, for sure, will admire the courage of a cute puppy and will take an example from him.

The actors involved in the performance very accurately conveyed the habits and movements of the four-legged characters.

An interesting set design in the national style was presented by the production designer Guljemal Saparova. The ribbing of the dunes in the pasture is conveyed by her woolen threads flowing from the oval frame. The desert vegetation is represented by dry twigs in the form of an ornament used in Turkmen felts.
