The results of the XIII Tashkent International Film Festival “The Silk Road Pearl” were summarized in Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the cultural event the “World Cinema Days” was held, where the films from more than 10 countries were presented, including the Turkmen screen performances.

The movies of “Turkmenfilm” Association named after Oguz han of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography, were shown in the Bukhara State University.

The first Tashkent Film Festival was in 1968, the event was held every two years. After the long cinematographic pause, by the way, the cinema makers from around the world visited Uzbekistan last time in 1997, a decision was taken on revival of the festival, which was held this year under the slogan: “Peace, enlightenment and progress”.
