Angelica Yalkapova and her golden gift for the Turkmen people

There are many creative figures in our country who make a valuable contribution to the cultural development of society. One of these people is Angelica Yalkapova, head of the Altyn Serpay (Golden Gift) children's violin ensemble. Let us remind that the ensemble "Altyn Serpay" was awarded the State Prize "Turkmenistanin Altyn Asyry" three times - in 2013, 2015, 2019.

And when did Angelika Yuryevna herself take the violin in her hands for the first time? With this question, we turned to her, and this is what she told about herself.

It all started in kindergarten, where she became the winner of the competition. She sang the song, tapping the melody cleanly on the xylophone. The music teacher passed her on to her parents to pay attention to their daughter's musical abilities.

Angelica's mom is a mathematician, dad is a trumpet player, aunt is a vocalist of the Philharmonic, and uncle is a conductor. Who to become her - all relatives decided.

“I want to play the violin,” she said timidly.

- On a violin? No! Look at your hands, how are you going to carry the instrument with them? You will play the piano while sitting, - cut off my mother.

Mom had exams at the university, so her mother's student took her to the entrance exams at the RMS (now the Children's Music Special Boarding School at the Conservatory).

- Look at your hands! Are you going to play phono with these little fingers ?! This is inconvenient! - Harold Issakovich Neimark, a member of the selection committee, reacted violently.

- I want to play the violin, and my mother ...

- Everything is clear, - interrupted the baby Harold Issakovich, - bring this mother to me, I will try to convince her.

Probably, there is no such person whom Neymark could not convince, and my mother gave up.

11 years at the RMSH flew by quickly, and then studies at the conservatory followed.

In special practice at the RMS, Neimark specially sent her the most difficult students. And she quickly found a common language with them, and together they easily coped with any problems.

“You have a teaching talent, keep that in mind,” Harold Issakovich told her.

At the conservatory, she received an increased scholarship, her portrait hung on the Hall of Fame, perhaps that is why there were several applications for her in the distribution of jobs: from the director of the Theater of Opera and Ballet. Makhtumkuli Aman Chakanov, from the director of the Ashgabat art school No. 1 Aman Saparov and the director of the Ashgabat art school No. 2 Olga Durdyniyazova. Her fate was being decided: who should she become - a performer or a teacher. Aman Chakanov won. And nevertheless, being a teacher was probably a foregone conclusion for her from above. Because by that time she had gone on maternity leave and was only listed in the theater.

And after the maternity leave, an accidental meeting took place, which determined her fate. Once on the street she met Aman Saparov, who again offered her the position of head of the string department and head of the ensemble at 1 school of arts. The ensemble seduced her, and she could not resist such a proposal.

Angelica Yurievna fell into her element. This is eloquently evidenced by the fact that every year at state competitions for instrumentalists among graduates of art schools, one of her students took the leading place, and 2018 turned out to be unprecedented - this year, two first places were awarded to Zaur-Abbas Asadulaev and Emir Sopiyev, pupils of Angelica Yurievna.

The "Altyn Serpay" ensemble for violin students works according to the principle of reasonable competition. It accepts children from the fourth grade, and the most successful in their studies. In other words, if you want to be an artist, go to school! The young violinists of the ensemble perform at concerts, as well as at city celebrations on the occasion of the opening of important construction sites, exhibitions and other events. And thus, from an early age, they take an active part in the life of society. Under the direction of Angelica Yurievna, the guys perform works by Nury Mukhatov, Durdy Nuryev, Veli Akhmedov, Aman Agadzhikov, Nury Khalmamedov, as well as Mozart, Gaidan, Vivaldi ... Once, behind the scenes of the theater, I turned to the musicians from the Altyn Serpai ensemble:

- Are you worried?

- Not at all. We enjoy performing.

All the same, these modern children are amazing. If I were in their place, I would be worried. I look at girls and boys with violins in their hands, and I am overwhelmed with a sense of respect for these young workers who study in two schools - the general education and the school of the arts, and in addition, are filled with the desire to perform in front of an unfamiliar audience. And it's just wonderful that next to them is an attentive and understanding teacher and ensemble leader Anzhelika Yurievna Yalkapova.
