Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Akhal velayat to get acquainted with the state of affairs on the construction of a new modern velayat administrative center.

In the morning, the head of state arrived at the place where the implementation of the grandiose project continues.

Currently, the pace of work on the construction of a new administrative center of the Akhal velayat is increasing, which is a clear confirmation of the successful implementation of a large-scale urban development program initiated by the leader of the nation. As throughout the country, the dynamics of socio-economic development is progressive in this region.

The launch of this grandiose project was given in April 2019 with the participation of the head of state. The construction of a new modern city marks another important step towards the successful implementation of the socio-economic policy of the President of Turkmenistan, one of the key vectors of which is the creation of all conditions for a comfortable life of people.

The nation’s leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the place of the planned construction of a Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center.

The Head of State listened to the report of Head of the Facility Construction Directorate of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture D. Orazov upon the ongoing work here.

As is known, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, in order to provide social support to the younger generation in the epoch of power and happiness, to assist in restoring the health of children in need of guardianship, as well as to ensure favorable conditions for their happy life, the formation of high human qualities in them, a special Charitable foundation was established in March this year.

Since the establishment of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, large-scale effective work has been carried out. An example of this is the allocation of new ambulances equipped with modern equipment for pediatric departments of hospitals in etraps and velayat cities, providing assistance to children in need of medical surgery.

As the national leader underlined, the opportunities created in the complex should meet modern requirements, the high spirit of the epoch of power and happiness. All conditions should be provided here for children to relax and acquire the skills of professions in which they are interested.

Then the Head of the Facility Construction Directorate of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture D. Orazov familiarized the nation’s leader with the projects of social and other facilities being built in this place, including sketches of a complex of a Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center. The sketches show the administrative building of the center, the medical center, the interiors of the offices, as well as a 2-level parking lot for 20 places and its location.

Then the country’s President got acquainted with the project of the Historical and Cultural Museum of the Akhal velayat. For its basis, the architects took the image of the nearby historical monument of Paryzdepe, which took its rightful place among the objects being the material heritage of the Turkmen people.

In addition, the leader of the nation was submitted for consideration design drawings of a flagpole with a height of 115 meters, road transport infrastructure facilities, including stops and benches placed inside them, lighting lanterns, an underground passage and samples of materials for interior decoration.

Having approved the presented projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on ensuring the high quality of the work carried out.

The area allocated for the construction of the new administrative center of the Akhal velayat has been thoroughly studied by scientists, including its ecological condition, seismicity and other indicators. The construction of objects for various purposes is carried out at a high pace.

In accordance with the Master Plan, the building of the State Circus will also be built here. The President of Turkmenistan was shown sketches of the terrace of this object, various types of interior decoration.

Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan D.Hudayberdiyev presented drawings of various new buildings planned here for consideration by the leader of the nation.

After reviewing the drawings, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a number of adjustments and highlighted that an immutable requirement for contractors and customers of facilities is to ensure high quality construction. Speaking about this, the head of state assigned to keep the work carried out in this direction under constant control.

The implementation of major urban development projects is also designed to promote solving the problems of industrialization of the regions, economic diversification, private sector development, and improving the level and life quality of the people.

In this context, the leader of the nation emphasized such a significant aspect as ecology. The new administrative center of the Akhal velayat is being built in a picturesque place – in the foothills of Kopetdag, and green technologies should be widely used in order to preserve this natural beauty.

In continuation of the topic, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the key principle here will be the self-sufficiency of the organization of urban space based on digital technologies and intelligent systems in order to provide all opportunities for a comfortable life of the population, fruitful work and study, good rest, sports, creativity. Thus, it will be a smart city, the most convenient for people’s lives, the head of state said.

The head of state also focused on the issue of using the latest technologies, know-how, digital system, and best practices in the construction of the velayat center. In this regard, instructions were addressed to the heads on the elaboration of relevant proposals.

Thus, a modern city with all conditions for comfortable living will soon appear in the foothills of Kopetdag, which will become another visual reflection of the Motherland’s progress in the epoch of power and happiness, as well as the pride of the Turkmen people.
