Creative review of dancing and song art of young performers is organized by the Ministry of culture of Turkmenistan with assistance of the Embassy of the Turkish Republic in our country.
Akpamyk, Yartygulak, Bovenjik, Hudayberdy the Brave and other favourite heroes of the Turkmen national fairy tales hospitably met young participants of the International children's creative review before the building of the Turkmen state Puppet theatre. The children's festival is always a holiday sparkling with pleasure, full of sonorous and cheerful voices. In festival days, of foyer of theatre has turned to a platform of cultural exchange and direct positive dialogue. Sweet lovers have stretched themselves to the Turkish cuisine delicacies, fidgets have stood in queue to take part in the national Turkish game "Top". But, perhaps, the performance of puppet theatre of shades “Hajyvat and Karagoz” was the most interesting of entertaining shows. Two fantastic characters - positive and negative, conduct polemic on various themes, for example, about friendship, using lexical similarity of two languages, with an instructive intention for children.
- In Turkey this art form is very popular, - tells Mehmet Hamdi Melekoglu (alias Karagoz), the head of the State ensemble of national dance. It is enough to notice that the shadow play festival is annually held in the city of Bursa. And every time when we leave out of the country limits to the international festivals, necessarily take with ourselves a screen, projector and dolls to acquaint as much as possible spectators of other countries with this form of art. The roots of the shadow theatre goes back to the antiquity, to the time, when people gathered round the fire and observed of freakish shadow game, cast by flashes of cauldron.
The shadow theatre was replaced by the puppet theatre. All participants of festival were invited to the Small hall, where they were awaited by a fascinating performance “A childhood rainbow”, of the playwright and director Ilyas Durdyev. A performance theme - equal rights of children, revealed in a fairy tale by means of dolls-fruits. All fruits are born green, it is then, they ripe to multi-colored fruits. Performance has been accepted by young spectators very warmly. Then the turn of performances of celebratory action heroes has come.
The state children's chorus of the Ministry of culture and tourism of the Turkish Republic sang a song "Ashgabat", specially prepared on this occasion. Collective performance has been welcomed very cordially.
- The April month is special for the Turkish people, - tells the head of chorus Betul Alpay. – On the 23rd, we celebrate a national holiday – Children’s Day. The present trip to Ashgabat has become a continuation of holiday for them. - We know that in your country, you celebrate the similar holiday on June 1 – the Day of protection of children. Therefore, we will try that the atmosphere of kindness and friendship reigning in our festival of children's creativity set major tone to the month anticipating a holiday. The purpose of our festival - to launch bridges of friendship and mutual understanding between representatives of rising generation of our countries.
Dancers of the folklore dancing group have acquainted the festival participants with six dances from different regions of Turkey. Performances have begun with dance "Halay", representing the art of eastern Anatolia. By the rhythm and choreographic drawing, this dance reminds the Turkmen ceremonial dance “kushtdepdi”.
- Each city or settlement has own style of performing the same dance, including plastic decisions and rhythmic energy, expressing the way of life and spiritual-historical experience of the nation, - choreographer Bulent Dizdaroglu comments the performances. - Some of them we have presented at this festival. I saw fascinating performances of your dancers from ensembles "Shatlyk" and "Ruhubelent", and in the near future, we intend to include a Turkmen dance to the program of our performances.
Besides dancing collectives, the chorus "Gunesh" of the Special children's musical boarding school at the Turkmen national conservatory and musicians of violinists’ ensemble “Altyn Serpay”, participate at the festival from the Turkmen party. Both, visitors and owners of creative review will spend two unforgettable days, filled with sincere emotions, friendly dialogue and fun.
According to the Turkish visitors, stay in our country will be remembered by unusually kind atmosphere and unforgettable impressions of new acquaintances, the Turkmen hospitality, architectural shape of our wonderful capital, its cultural sights.
