Musicians from Turkmenistan became laureates of the «Sounds of Dutar» festival

The results of the VI International Festival of Arts «Sounds of a Dutar» named after Nury Khalmamedov were summed up in Moscow. Musicians from Turkmenistan were among the laureates of this year's competition program. They are violinist Bahram Dolyev, violist and conductor of the string orchestra Takhir Ataev, as well as the creative team under his direction.

Having once burst into the musical Olympus, the string orchestra under the direction of Takhir Atayev has gained countless admirers. In Turkmenistan, the musical group is famous for its irrepressible energy and courage in the choice repertoire. Concerts of the string orchestra are always sold out in full festival.

«Our team took part in an international competition for the first time», says Takhir Atayev. - And all this thanks to the composer Nury Khalmamedov, whose name the festival is named after. Among the hundred participants who took part in the competition program, we showed a decent result, taking first places each in its category. Solo violin, solo viola and of course the orchestra in the ensemble performance category.

A prerequisite for participation in the creative competition is the performance of Turkmen classical music. Contestants from Turkmenistan give preference, first of all, to the works of Nury Khalmamedov, and also perform works by the composer and part-time art director of the Moscow International Festival of Arts Mamed Huseynov.

It is no coincidence that the festival of arts, held annually in Moscow, is named after the outstanding Turkmen composer. Nury Khalmamedov wrote his musical composition "Sounds of the Dutar" while still a student at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Having greatly influenced the development of national culture, he left behind a rich artistic heritage. The works of Nury Khalmamedov sounded and continue to sound not only in the homeland, but also far beyond its borders.

Bahram Dolyev, winner of the «Türkmeniň Altyn asyry» award, shared his impressions of participation in the international competition.

- I have been studying the violin since childhood, graduated from a music school, a conservatory, managed to work with various musical groups and performed solo. Now I work in the orchestra of Takhir Atayev, and to be honest, the performance on the international stage was a debut for me. I think that the performance of one of the most difficult works of the rhapsody "Gypsy" by Maurice Ravel helped me to take first place. I dedicate my victory to my mother, who once sent me to a music school.

For six years now, the Moscow International Festival of Arts «Sounds of Dutar» named after Nury Khalmamedov has provided an opportunity for young talented musicians from all over the world to show their creative abilities and show themselves on the big stage. Among the main goals of the music competition is the popularization of academic music, the revival of interaction and mutual enrichment of cultures of different peoples.
