The Conservatory celebrated the 110th anniversary of the birth of Danatar Ovezov

In the Small Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory. Mai Kuliyeva hosted an evening dedicated to the founder of professional Turkmen music Danatar Ovezov. Among the honored guests at the evening were Aylar and Aina Ovezov, the daughters of the first Turkmen composer and grandson of Ilyas Mukhamov, as well as Danatar Ovezovich's assistant in the 1960s, Honored Worker of Culture of Turkmenistan Khudayberdy Byashimov. Being in close communication with the luminary of music, Khudayberdy Byashimovich made an interesting story about how Danatar Ovezovich composed some of his works, shared his impressions of his amazing kindness and humanity.

The assembled admirers of Danatar Ovezov's talent were shown a video from fragments of a television film about the life and work of the composer. Black-and-white shots have preserved the vivid image of the composer of four operas for centuries, showing him in the family, next to his loving wife and daughters, at work at the piano, in the theater, surrounded by vocalists...

The concert program dedicated to Danatar Ovezov consisted entirely of his works of authorship. The presenter of the concert, Gulbahar Yakshieva, was the first to summon the choir of the Turkmen State Music College under the TNK, named after Danatar Ovezov, to the stage. Under the direction of the conductor Mai Amangeldyeva, the choir members brilliantly performed two songs - "Baglar Hey" to the verses of Makhtumkuli and "40 spring flowers" to the verses of Garaj Burunov. And then the "Song of Garib" from the opera "Shasenem and Garib", arranged for a brass band, sounded majestically. The accordion ensemble performed the famous song "Kolkhoz Flower".

The main part of the concert was occupied by solo numbers. Most of these were arias from the operas "Shasenem and Garib" co-authored by Danatar Ovezov with Adrian Shaposhnikov and "Leili and Majnun" co-authored with Yuliy Meitus. They were performed with beautiful voices by the teachers of the Conservatory Lale Arazdurdyeva, Bibidzhemal Amanova, Begench Moshiev, Ogulgerek Pirnaeva, Rovshan Bayramov and others.

The dedication concert was a success: the melodic, impressive music and performing skills of the teachers of the conservatory brought great aesthetic pleasure to the audience.
