The Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Minsk timed to the visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Belarus vividly demonstrated the mutual interest of the two states in enhancing cooperation in the spheres of culture, science, education, art, tourism and sports.
The opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan held in the Palace of the Republic brought together numerous workers of culture and art of Belarus, representatives of government and municipal authorities, diplomatic missions accredited in this country, local citizens and guests to Minsk as well as Turkmen students.
The programme of the concert included the works by the classics of national Turkmen music and contemporary composers and beautiful ancient folk melodies, which intertwined with Belarusian songs that wee brilliantly performed by our vocalists.
Spectators admired the performance of the famous Turkmen opera and pop singers. The generosity of talent and people’s open hearts reigned on the stage, and the audience rewarded the artists with tremendous applause.
The culmination of the concert was the folk dance kushtdepdi that added unique colourful notes to the portrait of our country presented in choreographic and musical performances.
