The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov met with representatives of the leading logistics companies of Kazakhstan and discussed with them the future development of cooperation of two countries in the transportation and logistics sphere. In particular, the Vice-President of АО «Astyk Trans», ТОО «Iskomtrans», Director General of «Semurg Invest» Company (port Kuryk), General Manager of the Railway Transportation Department of АО «KTZ Express», the representatives of the Project office formation, development and control the infrastructure of the trading and economic cooperation centers of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of ТОО First Multimodal Company and ТОО TransLogistics Group companies participated in the meeting.
The Turkmen diplomat briefly informed about the recent developments of Turkmenistan in the traffic logistics, including the commissioning of the Ashgabat-Tejen section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway, which is designed to speed up and increase the volume of cargo transportation through the territory of Turkmenistan. The capacities of the Turkmenbashy International Port, «Türkmenawtoulaglary», «Türkmendemirýollary» and «Türkmenhowaýollary» Agencies were presented to the participants.
In their turn, the representatives of the Kazakhstan logistic companies proposed to enhance cooperation in the exchange of information on transit cargo and expressed their readiness to cooperate with Turkmen colleagues. The participants also focused on the need for high-quality training of logistics specialists who will be able to work with the latest technologies, thereby ensuring a high level of logistics services.
Logistics is more than the transport services. EXPO 2017 are the new transport corridors and necessity of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan companies in enhancing of the logistics availability.
The geographic location of Kazakhstan is a fundamental factor of the transportation and logistics branch development due to presence of the vast borders with the neighboring countries and, as a consequence, of the border crossing points. This fact in the context of developing trans-regional processes allows bordering countries to increase their transport flows. In this regard, there is an increase in the volume of cargo turnover for all three major types of communication.
