On November 17, 2021, the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea organized an official event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan in Seoul.
The event was attended by the Ambassadors of the neighboring states and countries-members of the Economic Cooperation Organization, as well as the representatives of international organizations.
The head of the Global Green Growth Institute Mr. Ban Ki-moon and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Hyoeun Jenny Kim participated to the event from Korean side as the Guests of Honor.
During the event the head of the Global Green Growth Institute Mr. Ban Ki-moon on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was awarded the jubilee medal “25th Anniversary of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan”. Mr. Ban Ki-moon in his speech expressed the words of gratitude to the Leader of Turkmenistan and noted that Turkmenistan pays great attention to the cooperation with international organizations, particularly the UN.
The speakers at the official part of the event noted fast pace of the development of the Turkmen state, built friendly relations between the two countries, the spheres of bilateral cooperation and priorities of the development of the relations.
