The briefing dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan and declaring the year 2021 as “The International Year of Peace and Trust” was held in Minsk. The permanent plenipotentiary representatives of the Commonwealth member-stated at the charter and other bodies of the Commonwealth, officers of the diplomatic missions accredited in Belorussia, representatives of the Executive committee of CIS participated in the briefing.
Opening the event, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus, the Permanent plenipotentiary representative of Turkmenistan at the charter and other bodies of the Commonwealth Nazarguly Shagulyev stressed, that on 27 September, 2021 the Turkmen people celebrated its main national holiday– Independence Day. More than 50 industrial and social objects were put into operation by this date, being the symbol of the 30-years way of the independent Turkmenistan.
The diplomat informed about the most significant projects. Thus, on the City Day of Ashgabat and on occasion of its 140th anniversary, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the ceremony of foundation laying of the large residential complex “Ashgabat City”. It will be built in the north of the capital and become «city in city». According to project, over two hundred objects for various purposes will appear in “Ashgabat City”, which will create an urban infrastructure with all the amenities for comfortable living and recreation.
One more large-scaled project– high-speed autobahn Ashgabat - Turkmenabat. The project will be fully completed by 2023. And in 2021, the first section of the road with a length of over 200 kilometers was built and put into operation, which connected the capital Ashgabat and the city of Tejen.
Not less large-scaled and important project was realized in the located in the east of Turkmenistan Kerki town. Here an international airport was built. The air harbor is designed to serve 100 passengers per hour and is capable of providing safe and efficient air travel. Realization of this project became one more step to the formation in the country of the modern transport and logistics infrastructure.
The participant of briefing not only heard about the architectural premiers of Turkmenistan, but also saw them. If not personally, but the description of Nazarguly Shagulyev was supported with the colorful video.
Diplomat emphasized that a large list of the realized projects is an evidence of great work performed for the socio-economic development of the country. «Just two days ago, the opening ceremony of the new textile complex took place in Babadayhan etrap, designed for the processing of 5 thousand ton of cotton per year. Therefore, I’d like to emphasize, that the works on commissioning of the new facilities, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan, continue. They will be carried our through the course of 2021 year», – stated Nazarguly Shagulyev.
