Tehran to host Days of Culture of Turkmenistan

At Vahdat Hall, the performed at the celebrations stated that thanked to the efforts of the Heads of Turkmenistan and Islamic Republic of Iran, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Hasan Ruhani, the great attention within dynamically developing interstate relations is paid to intensified dialogue in cultural and humanitarian spheres. It became a good tradition to hold Days of culture of both countries including mutual participation in scientific conferences, exhibitions, art forums, festivals, and meetings.

As noted the most favorable prerequisites for close humanitarian cooperation is created by the richest historical and cultural inheritance of Turkmen and Iranian nations, which made a great contribution to the development of world civilization.

Upon competition of the official part of the ceremony it was held a large concert of the art masters of Turkmenistan. The concert was included folk music, the work of Turkmen composers; world classical music, pop songs and stirring tunes of dance music met with a storm of applause by Iranian audience.

In the lobby of Vahdat Hall it was displayed an exhibition of Turkmenistan. A stunning collection of carpet work and a sample of national dresses, traditional musical instruments, and jewels embodied centuries-old art of Turkmen masters, gained a great interest of visitors. As obvious evidence of original Turkmen culture, the displays were reflected generosity of Turkmen nation’s soul, rich spiritual traditions, and wise customs carefully preserved throughout the centuries.

On the threshold of the beginning of Days of culture, it was held a meeting of Turkmen delegation with Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran Aly Jannati. At the meeting, it was discussed art field, cultural exchanges and other areas of outlook. As noted, common spiritual and cultural values, ancient traditions of good neighbourness were the solid foundation for Turkmen-Iranian friendly relations. Holding joint cultural events create more opportunities for spiritual enrichments of both nations.

According to the agenda of Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Iran, the displayed handicrafts and a collection of its museum will be exhibited in the Cultural Center of “Farhangestan Honar” of the IRI in Teheran. Besides, art sessions of Turkmen literary men with their Iranian colleagues will be held. During the cultural event, it will be screened film productions of Turkmenistan’s cinema.

Turkmen delegation’s cultural program was included visits of historical places, museums and other sightseeing of Teheran.
