Turkmenistan Culture Days in Romania completed in Iasi where the concert of art masters took place

The current art event is an evidence of expansion of geography of cultural contacts of friendly peoples, their diversity and versatility. Introduction of this ancient Romanian city to the range of cooperation of two countries in cultural field highlights the integrity of spiritual relation of the generations, power and antiquity of the origins feeding modern culture and art of Turkmen and Romanian peoples.  


The city is located on the crossroad of trade routes. There are more than 120 units of historical and cultural importance there what gives the reason to refer to Iasi as to “city – museum”. It cannot help to be stated the fact that Iasi is one of the most attractive tourist routes of Romania and Europe and it can serve as one of the direction of cooperation of our countries in this quite urgent sphere taking into account recreation opportunities of Turkmenistan.  


The concert of art masters of Turkmenistan took place under the arches of National Theatre named after Vasile Alecsandri that was built in Iasi in 1896 by design of Austro-Hungarian architects F. Felner and G. Gelmer and being one of the bright attractions of the city.  

The distinctive feature of the concert of art masters of Turkmenistan was the emphasis on national heritage. Special interest was shown by the audience to the performance of Turkmen bakshi who conquered the visitors by deep originality of Turkmen folk music, unique sound of dutar, virtuosity and unforgettable way of vocal play.  


Girlish tunes “lyale” performed with emotions and affecting nature by the ensemble of vocalist “Läle” entered in a palette of art celebration. Throughout the centuries, Turkmen women created and kept in their memories the heart exciting and touching thin strings of the soul 7 – 8 compound quatrains composed in the form of “rubai” and called “läle” by people where the soul of Turkmen woman, her dreams and hopes were reflected.  

The performances of folk and ethnic team “Dokmachylar”, who performed few bright shows including ancient ritual dance “kushtdepdi” without which not a single national holiday or performance of Turkmen artists abroad can be held, were distinguished by imagery and deep emotions.  


The concert of art masters of Turkmenistan in Iasi concluded the programme of Turkmenistan Culture Days in Romania.  

Large-scale creative action appeared to be bright reflection of main direction of foreign policy course to peace-making and creation of our independent neutral state. By its substantial content, Turkmenistan Culture Days in Romania can be called as remarkable step on the way of development of the dialog of both countries in humanitarian sphere.
