Four chronicle photo pictures, made in the territory of Turkmenistan were included in the virtual photo exposition of the Joint project to the 30th anniversary of CIS.
The photo works titled «Performance of the national dancing group in Ashgabat in front of the main building of the International University of Humanities and Development of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat», «Opening of the International sea port of Turkmenistan», «Ashgabat – administrative, political, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Turkmenistan», «Presentation of breed Akhal-Teke horses in Ashgabat hippodrome» which were photographed and prepared by the TASS photographers Stanislav Krasilnikov and Valeriy Sharifulin, and published in the virtual photo exposition.
According to TASS, the project to the 30th anniversary of CIS was prepared by the leading mass media of the CIS member-states. The virtual photo exposition, which was pout in the sites of the state news agencies of the Commonwealth countries, Association of the national news agencies of the CIS member-states, CIS web portal, included 45 chronicle shots, provided by the state news agencies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldavia, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
"This photo project reflects the life and achievements of the Commonwealth countries, interaction of the republics in different sectors for three decades. The expressive fragments from recent past and present time fixed the best photographers of the leading news agencies of CIS states. The pictures with image of people, monuments, industrial facilities, notable events and everyday life, became peculiar strokes to the picture of our shared history", - said Director General of Russian TASS news agency, Chairman of the Information Council of the Heads of State News Agencies of the CIS Countries Sergey Mikhailov.
Among the unique shots presented in the photo project, the group shot of the leaders of 11 states after signing in Alma-Ata of the Protocol to the Agreement establishing the Commonwealth of Independent States, made by the TASS photographers on 21 December, 1991.
The exposition also included the photographs from the opening ceremony of the International Sea Port in Turkmenistan, the architectural symbol of the modern Baku - "Flame towers" complex, the launch of "Soyuz MS-19" spaceship, with the "Vyzov" (Challenge) Russian film production crew in the Baikonur in Kazakhstan, operation of one of the leading enterprises of Kyrgyzstan - machine-building plant "Kyrgyz Unaa Kurulush", urban color of Gyumri city in Armenia, reconstructed after the earthquake in 1988, and other shots.
The Information Council was founded in November, 1995. It includes the heads of the state news agencies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldavia, Russia and Tajikistan. The activity of the CIS The Information Council is aimed at provision of mutual activity and cooperation of CIS countries in the informational sphere, creation of the favorable conditions for the free dissemination of information and effective exchange of experience in the professional activity, as well as strengthening of the media partnership.
