The Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan invites you to the “Nutcracker”

The fairy tale novel "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" is rightfully considered the most Christmas story of all times and peoples. And, despite the fact that the German writer Hoffmann wrote it more than two hundred years ago, today interest in the characters of the fairy tale does not fade away all over the world.

In many countries, watching the Nutcracker on New Year's Eve has become a good tradition. In turn, the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan decided to please Ashgabat residents with a live concert and, especially for the New Year holiday, prepared a musical program entirely dedicated to the legendary fairy tale.

A series of festive concerts will be held on the stage of the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan, in which the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, written specially for the ballet "The Nutcracker", will be performed.

Accompanied by the musicians of the symphony orchestra, the film-ballet "The Nutcracker", released in 1993, will be broadcasted on the big screen. In the film adaptation of the play, based on the fairy tale of the same name, artists of the American troupe New York City Ballet took part, and the main role in the production was played by Macaulay Culkin, known for his role as Kevin, in the comedy "Home Alone".

The State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of Rasul Klychev invites all fans of classical music to Christmas concerts. You can find yourself in a magical fantasy world, feel the spirit of Christmas and the approaching New Year - on December 24, 25 and 26.
