The heads of foreign ministries discussed further development of bilateral relations in light of agreements reached between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan during the informal CIS summit held in December last year in St. Petersburg.

In this context, it was underlined that in accordance with the invitation of the Uzbek side, the government delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan in charge of economic issues, will visit Tashkent in the near future to hold meetings and talks on expanding Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation in the economic sphere.
