On the eve of the Defender of the Fatherland Day, celebrated in our country on January 27, an exhibition of works by Turkmen painters was opened in the exposition hall of the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan. Given that people in military tunics have always commanded respect among the people, the exhibition includes paintings from different generations of artists. There are no battle scenes in the paintings, the theme of this, on the one hand, is a national, and on the other hand, a professional holiday, is revealed by scenes from peaceful life, where the main characters are brave men in uniform guarding the peace of their compatriots.

Ivan Cherinko's painting "Life has become better, life has become happier" about how a Red Army soldier, who returned from the front with an order on his chest, changed his rifle to a dutar and carefully looks at a young beautiful woman: another peaceful life has begun, with other values - family happiness and the birth of children.

Azat Jumaniyazov presented in his work a portrait of a serviceman - young, handsome, with a strict, slightly tired face. The artist called this work "Portrait of Mohamed". And looking at the face of a courageous warrior, you believe that you can always rely on him in difficult times - this one will not let you down, will save you from any situation. He is the defender of our Fatherland.

A series of paintings dedicated to the border guards. Among them, in warm ocher tones, the painting “On a Rest” by Ashirdzhum Nuryev is presented. A group of soldiers sat down on the sands of the Karakum in a moment of rest, and without wasting precious time, indulged in reading the newspaper. The khaki tunics of the soldiers turned white under the generous Turkmen sun and practically merge into yellow sand dunes. In this detail, one can notice the author's allegory - the defenders of the Fatherland are united with the Turkmen country.

Vladimir Pavlotsky captured on his canvas a detachment of border guards guarding the borders of our Motherland. A group of soldiers are patrolling the border strip in the mountains. "In the country of the world" - this is how the artist called his work.

The painting by Durdy Bayramov was painted in the style of post-impressionism, when the color of the foliage of the trees of the Firyuzinsky gorge literally rages on the canvas. And under this beauty, two border guards on horseback patrol the territory entrusted to them. Durdy Bayramov called his painting "Peaceful Land".

In his work “No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten”, the artist Chary Ovvaev emphasizes the connection between experienced front-line soldiers and the younger generation of military personnel. The young people perceive stories, advice, instructions of the defenders of the Motherland with experience with great respect and gratitude.

It is noteworthy that the meeting of two generations of men, who are entrusted with the mission of protecting peace in the country, takes place at the Eternal Flame - a cult monument to the defenders of the Fatherland.

And the exhibition ends with a festive parade of the country's armed forces. At the Rukhiet Palace, Mekan Amanov portrayed Turkmen soldiers on horseback, who opened the parade on the Presidential Square. The picture is called “Akhal-Teke beauties”, and the visitors’ gaze involuntarily lingers on the unearthly beauty of graceful horses, thanks to which the parade is perceived more festively.
