On February 8, during a working meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on the construction of the «Dokmaçylar» cultural centre under the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.

The project for the construction of a cultural centre along the capital's Seydi Street will be implemented within two years. In this regard, the Ministry of Textile Industry is allowed to conclude a contract with the state enterprise «Dokmahyzmat» for the design and construction of a new facility with full readiness for exploitation in 2024.

According to the leader of the nation, creative teams under sectoral ministries and departments, in particular, those related to the textile industry, with their inspirational performances, glorifying the achievements of the era of power and happiness of our sovereign state, inspire people to new achievements.

One of the most famous groups - the folklore and ethnographic ensemble «Dokmaçylar» under the leadership of the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Jemal Saparova takes part in all significant concerts and cultural events held in the country.

The repertoire of the dance ensemble includes many folk dances. For many years, the hallmark of the group has been the ancient Turkmen dance «Kushdepdi», the art of singing and performing, which is included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
