The President of Turkmenistan held an online working meeting

Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held an online working meeting, in which some Deputy-Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, khyakims of regions and Ashgabat city took part. The issues connected with intensification of international cooperation, the course of seasonal agricultural activities carried out in the fields of the country as well as preparation for the spring sowing campaign were put on the agenda.

The leader of the nation first gave the floor to Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, Minister of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov as well as Deputy-Chairmen E.Orazgeldiyev and Ch.Gylyjov.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, head of the foreign office R.Meredov reported on the activity carried out jointly with profile institutions to develop international relations of our country as well as to expand cooperation established with foreign partners in accordance with the instruction of the head of the state by way of diversification.

Deputy-Chairman E.Orazgeldiyev reported on the measures taken at present to determine the place of construction of a processing industrial complex and to fulfil successfully the goals set before this sector.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Committee for Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation from the Turkmen side Ch.Gylyjov reported on the state of affairs in the sphere he supervises, in particular, the practical measures carried out in accordance with the instruction of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to intensify international cooperation and to implement the agreements reached by the outcome of the talks.

Having heard the reports, the head of Turkmenistan pointed out that at present, all sectors of national economy develop on a multivector basis, international partnership and by profile areas. At that, an emphasis was made on the fact that fulfilment of agreements by the outcome of high-level meetings will facilitate expansion of interstate economic relations.

As President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov marked, within the framework of the visit of the governmental delegation of Kazakhstan to our country, construction of a processing industrial complex was proposed to build on the Turkmen-Afghan border.

In this connection, the leader of the nation gave an instruction to Deputy-Chairmen to study in detail the given proposal and outline the tasks proceeding from it, including location of the industrial complex. One should attach a priority significance for achievement of efficiency of the work carried out by the Turkmen side of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Committee for Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation, as the head of the state assigned.

In the working meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov commissioned Deputy-Chairmen R.Meredov, E.Orazgeldiyev and Ch.Gylyjov to ensure fulfilment of the agreements reached by the outcome of the talks on construction of the processing facility by the Kazakh side on the Turkmen-Afghan border that will have a great significance for further intensification of bilateral relations and creation of new work places.

For erection of the proposed industrial complex in the territory of Serhetabat district of Mary region there is necessary infrastructure, including motor and railways, the leader of the nation noted, having commissioned them to agree the issues connected with the start of construction of the industrial project with the related side.

Further, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave the floor to Deputy-Chairmen of the Cabinet Sh.Abdrahmanov, Ch. Purchekov and Deputy-Chairman, Minister of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov.

Deputy-Chairman Sh.Abdrahmanov reported on the state of affairs in the fuel and energy sector of the country and the work carried out in accordance with the instruction of the head of the state, a complex of work on development of the sector by way of diversification and rise of volume of export of hydrocarbon resources.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Ch. Purchekov reported on fulfilment of the instructions given earlier by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on rise of volume of delivery of power energy abroad and exploration of new export routes.

Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, Minster of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov informed on the great attention given by the world community to Turkmenistan, which possesses a favourable geographical location and reported on the work carried out to intensify international cooperation, in particular, to develop mutually beneficial relations and to hold the talks in the given area.

Further, addressing Deputy-Chairman Sh.Abdrahmanov, the head of the state commissioned him to study the issues of transit delivery of Turkmen natural gas to countries of the Middle and Near East via territories of neighbouring countries.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also commissioned Deputy-Chairman Ch. Purchekov to hold the talks on the issues of transit delivery of power energy via territories of neighbouring countries with the relevant sides.

At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should study the organizational part of these tasks and take necessary measures to coordinate the strategic activity of our country in the international relations, the head of the said and gave the Deputy-Chairman, head of MFA concrete instructions to this end.

Further, the leader of the nation called online Deputy-Chairmen of the Cabinet S.Toyliev, Ch. Purchekov and khyakim of Ashgabat city R.Gandymov.

Deputy-Chairman Ch. Purchekov reported on the state of affairs in the subordinate institutions and the capital as well as on the practical measures taken with a view to accelerate the pace of construction and ensuring of quality of projects erected in Ashgabat.

Summing up the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov drew attention to importance of regular monitoring both over the level of accomplishment and ecology in the central city of the country and the activities at new sites and gave the Deputy-Chairman a number of concrete instructions to this end.

Further, Deputy-Chairman S.Toyliev reported on the state of affairs in the spheres under his supervision as well as on the course of large-scale construction activities at sites of new buildings of higher educational institutions of the country.

Further, the on-line working meeting continued with participation of Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, who supervises the agro-industrial complex of the country and khyakims of regions.

Khyakim of Akhal region Ya. Gurbanov was first to report on the state of affairs in the region and activities carried out at present with a view of completion of cotton sowing at established terms, in particular, proper preparation of fields, machinery and seeds for the season. He also informed on the care of grain crops and preparation for sowing of vegetable crops.

In the meeting, the head of the state expressed his dissatisfaction with the pace of onion sowing and commissioned him to complete the campaign by March 5. The leader of the nation emphasized that one should take a great responsibility for this task and take measures for intensification of the pace of sowing campaign of this crop and complete it within designated terms.

Khyakim of Balkan region T.Atahallyev reported on the seasonal agricultural campaigns carried out in the fields of the region, including the measures to raise their pace, to prepare the agricultural machinery and equipment as well as the work to organize the upcoming spring sowing campaign and to expand the acreage of land under potato, vegetable and gourds and other crops.

Further, the online meeting continued with the report of khyakim of Dashoguz region N.Nazarmyradov on the course of realization of measures envisaged in the National agricultural program for socio-economic development of the northern region of the country as well as the seasonal agricultural activities carried out at present.

In this connection, the leader of the nation drew the attention to proper organization of seasonal field activity, their conduction at designated terms and of high quality and commissioned him to start the sowing of spring onion on February 25 and potato on March 1. Having made an emphasis on necessity of due preparation of soil and agricultural machinery as well as all-round and responsible approach to solution of tasks proceeding from state programs, the President of Turkmenistan gave the khyakim concrete instructions.

Further, khyakim of Lebap region Sh.Amangeldiev reported on the practical measures taken with a view to ensure the well-coordinated activity of all structures engaged in conduction of the upcoming agricultural campaign as well as preparation of the fields under cotton and profile machinery and equipment in accordance with agro-technical terms and standards. At that, it was noted that a great significance is given for rise of quality of treatment of young shoots of wheat and its implementation according to the required standards.

Further developing on the topic, the head of the state stated importance of completion of the sowing of spring onion by March 5 and at the same time, well-organized conduction of planting of early ripening varieties of potato and gave the khyakim a number of concrete instructions.

Khyakim of Mary region D.Annaberdiev reported on the course of seasonal campaigns in the region, preparation of fields, machinery and equipment for the upcoming sowing campaign, including the work carried out to sow potato, vegetable and gourds in due time.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet E.Orazgeldiyev reported on the course of seasonal field activities in the regions of the country and preparation for the spring sowing. As was informed, up to day, 82, 5 per cent of all the land under sowing has been ploughed. At the same time, the work on preparation of agricultural machinery and equipment for the sowing campaign and the care of grain crops, irrigation and control of agricultural pests is carried out well organized.

On the margins of his report, the Deputy-Chairman reported that in the current year as a whole by the country 10 thousand hectares of land will be sown under early ripening varieties of onion. Up to day, 60, 5 per cent of the land has been sown. This year, 30 thousand hectares of land will be sown with early ripening species of potato. As a total, in 2022, 106 thousand hectares of land will be sown under potato and vegetables, watermelons, melons and gourds and it will enable to solve the task of food supply usefully.

Concluding the working meeting, the head of Turkmenistan wished its participants great successes in their work for the benefit of further development of our fatherland.
