A solemn laying of the foundation for the construction of a new cultural center «Dokmaçylar» took place in Ashgabat.

The event was attended by leaders and specialists of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, the folklore and ethnographic dance group "Dokmaçylar" led by People's Artist Dzhemal Saparova, cultural figures and honorary elders of our country.

The ceremony was opened by the artists of the dance group. For many years, the Dokmaçylar ensemble has been performing folk dances that are distinguished by a bright national color. Glorifying the best traditions of Turkmen culture, young men and women invariably dance to national musical instruments and folk songs.

Warmly welcoming the speakers, the participants of the event supported the artists with thunderous applause. An atmosphere of joy and happiness reigned around. After all, thanks to the support of esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, representatives of creative teams will have a new palace of culture and art.

As is known, recently the leader of the nation signed a Decree on the design and construction of the building of the Dokmaçylar cultural center of the Ministry of Textile Industry and the improvement of the adjacent territory.

Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for February 2024. Because of this, talented youth will have the opportunity to work and create in a magnificent building that meets modern quality standards. The new building will house large dance halls equipped with everything necessary, gyms and other sections of creativity.

Expressing sincere gratitude to the head of state, the participants of the event thanked the leader of the nation for tireless attention and care. The commissioning of a new facility for creative workers will give a great impetus to reach higher heights in the future and enrich our national culture.
