Two teachers of the Department of Music Pedagogy of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva - tenor Meilis Muratgeldiyev and baritone Begench Gaipov performed a concert from the works of the first Turkmen composer Danatar Ovezov.

It is noteworthy that both vocalists once studied at the Turkmen State Musical College named after. Danatar Ovezov, and with the same teacher - Aman Amanov. In memory of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Danatar Ovezov, high vocal artists decided to please the audience with the best works of the founder of the Turkmen opera.

Concertmaster Maya Beimanova, who took part in the concert, said in an interview with GA before her performance: “I admire the music of Danatar Ovezov. It is bright, melodic, emotional. His music has been around for a century and hasn't aged at all."

The host of the concert, Keik Artykova, by the way, a student of Meilis Muratgeldiyev, introduced the audience to the life and work of the outstanding composer.

The concert program was opened by Meylis Muratgeldiyev, who performed the song "Leyla" with inspiration and sincerity. Then the tenor was replaced by Begench Gaipov with the performance of the lyrical song "No, no." Together with the songs "Dilberochka", "For Girls" and others, arias and arioso from the operas "Shasenem and Garip" by Danatar Ovezov and Adrian Shaposhnikov, "Leyli and Majnun" by Danatar Ovezov and Julius Meitus were performed in the concert. It is not for nothing that these operas are called folk operas, they have so much melodiousness from folk Turkmen songs. In addition, the magnificent vocals of the opera performers made the operas even more beautiful.

Danatar Ovezov's daughters, Aylar Danatarovna and Aina Danatarovna, were among the audience in the hall as guests of honor. Both of them are teachers of the music school named after their father.

“Wonderful music brought me and my sister back to childhood,” Aylar Danatarovna admits with emotion. - Since those ancient times, we remember well these melismas that enchant the ear and are grateful to the organizers of the concert for the opportunity to be again, even mentally, in the family next to dad and mom.
